Fracture Fixation of the Shoulder
Fractures of the shoulder can be treated either non-operatively or with surgery.
Undisplaced fractures of the proximal humerus can be managed with sling immobilisation for 6 weeks and then mobilisation with physiotherapy.
Displaced fractures of the proximal humerus may require ORIF (Open Reduction and Internal Fixation) or Shoulder Replacement.
