Pyrocarbon Wrist Replacement
We perform pyrocarbon joint replacement surgery for end-stage wrist arthritis, an alternative to traditional total wrist arthroplasty.
This implant, called the Amandys, is a large pyrocarbon pebble that acts as a “spacer” device to maintain wrist joint height and soft-tissue tension, preserve wrist motion, and treat painful arthritis.
A good alternative to wrist fusion, which prevents further wrist motion.
