Dr Maguire specialises in Ultra Minimally Invasive Surgery. Essentially this means surgery is performed via the smallest incisions possible. Some arthroscopic surgery is performed via “Needle Arthroscopy” which means arthroscopes literally the size of a hypodermic needles are used, for example in the wrist, thumb, finger and elbow joints. Other surgeries are performed under ultrasound guidance via puncture wounds. Examples include Ultrasound Guided Tennis Elbow Surgery, Ultrasound Guided Carpal Tunnel Release and Ultrasound Guided Trigger Finger Release.
